Sub-Regional Conference on Digital Economy Development for Central African Countries organized by the ITU in Cameroon Yaoundé-CAMEROON, 23-25 May 2018

​​​​​​​Visual -en.png​The purpose of the Digital Economy Development Conference, to be held from May 23-25, 2018, is to provide a high-level platform to discuss key issues related to the development of the digital economy and to focus specifically on economic integration of the sub-region through ICT.The theme of the Conference is "The Digital Economy in Central Africa, State of Play and Challenges in a Globalized World". The issues to be discussed, among others, will address the following issues:

  • ​Identify the achievements, the shortcomings and the developments in each country (role of the State, legal environment, place of the actors, infrastructures)
  • Explore the ways and means of a relevant development of the digital economy in the sub-region, the harmonization of ICT regulatory frameworks in the economic community ECCAS
