Workshop on Satellite Broadband and RLANS (Usage and Internet Services), 20-23 June 2023 Brazzaville (Congo)

​​​​The PRIDA Workshop on Satellite Broadband and RLANS (Usage and Internet Services) organized from June 20-23, in Brazzaville (Congo), focused on bridging the digital divide through t​he utilization of satellite broadband and RLANs (Radio Local Area Networks).

This workshop aims to bring together professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders from French and English-speaking countries to explore the latest trends in the satellite industry, discuss licensing requirements, and delve into regulations and case studies of RLANs usage and internet services.

PRIDA is an initiative by the AUC, EU, ITU and also includes Regional Economic Communities, Africa Telecommunications Union, Regional Regulatory Associations, National Regulators, and other stakeholders. It includes many direct and indirect actions for helping African countries to achieve efficient and harmonized spectrum utilization across Africa (harmonize wireless broadband internet spectrum), including training, capacity building, workshops, creation of national, regional and Africa level Guidelines and Roadmaps among others.
