16th Forum on Telecommunication/ICT Regulation and Partnership in Africa (FTRA-2018), Hotel The Capital on the Park , Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa, 6-8 June 2018
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Government of the Republic of South Africa are pleased to invite you to the 16th Forum on Telecommunication/ICT Regulation and Partnership in Africa (FTRA 2018), to be held at the Hotel The Capital on the Park, Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa, 6th- 8th June 2018.
The themes for the Forum this year are:
- Collaborative Regulation for Emerging Technologies and Cross Sector Applications.
- Foundations for secure and effective Big Data & Data Sovereignty,
- Infrastructure development and Quality of Service roadmaps for IoT and Smart City developments
- National security issues
- Rural development strategies
The main objective of the Forum is to share experiences and identify best practices conducive to attracting investments in ICT infrastructure, applications and services for socio-economic development.
Participation in FTRA 2018 is open to ITU Member States and ITU-D Sector Members, regional and sub regional regulators’ associations, telecommunication/ICT operators, financial and development institutions and regional and sub regional organizations.
