Third Regional Forum on Interconnectivity, Cyber Security and IPV6

Panama city, Panama, 10-11 September 2015

ABOUT

A two-day regional Forum on Interconnectivity, Cyber Security and IPV6 that will be held September 10 and 11, 2015 in Panama city, Panama, at the kind invitation of the National Authority of Public Services (ASEP), and in close collaboration with the Regional Technical Communications Commission of Central America (COMTELCA) and of the Latin America and Caribbean Network Information Centre (LACNIC). The event will be back to back with the II Meeting of the Standardization Committee of COMTELCA that will be on September from 7 to 9.

PURPOSE

The Forum sessions will discuss, among other things, interconnection, IXP, its benefits, the role of the regulator, the necessity of national regulations, a regional vision, and the path towards a regional agreement on interconnection.
During the second day of the Forum, will be held sessions on cyber security, broadband access, IPV6 and its implementation in the region, steps towards a regional collaboration on cyber security, and the necessity of policies on cybersecurity and child online protection.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This Forum is intended for and therefore welcomes participants who have leading roles in connectivity issues in the region.
Registration of participants will be exclusively online and remain open until September 1, 2015. Please consider, if necessary, the application procedure for a Visa to enter Panama.
