14th Cybersecurity Technical Training Event – Regional Cyberdrill for Americas

ABOUT

The International Telecommunication Union through its Regional Office is organizing the training event “14th Cybersecurity Technical Training Event – Regional Cyberdrill for Americas”.
The purpose of the training event - Cyberdrill is to enhance the communication and incident response capabilities of the participating teams as well as to ensure a continued collective effort in mitigating cyber threats among the region's national Computer Incident Response Teams.
The Cyberdrill exercise is structured around various scenarios involving the most common types of cyberattacks while the sharing sessions, and provides a platform for cooperation and discussions on cybersecurity.
The event will be held in Lima, Peru from September 23 to 27, 2024, at the kind invitation and co-organization of INICTEL-UNI, with the co-organization of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and the General Secretariat of the Andean Comm​unity. The event days will be held at the facilities of INICTEL-UNI and the General Secretariat of the Andean Community.

PURPOSE

​The event is meant for governments, institutions, and/or national CIRTs/CERTs to participate with technicians on cybersecurity and representatives at the manager level.
The event includes five days of various sessions, discussions on the cybersecurity situation in Peru and in the Region, keynote speakers, specialized technical training and simulated technical scenarios.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

​CERTs of the Region's Member States, decision takers about cybersecurity from the administrations, Staff of telecommunication administrations, regulatory authorities, regional organizations, sector members and special guests from Americas' region: Argentina, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Bolivia (Plurinational State of), Brazil, Barbados, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Cuba, Belize, Dominican Rep., Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Grenada, Haiti, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Peru, Paraguay, Panama, Nicaragua, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Suriname, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
