ITU Regional Cybersecurity Readiness Exercise was organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Marrakech, Morocco on 29-31 May 2024 at the kind invitation of Directorate General for Information Systems Security (DGSSI).
The Readiness Exercise aimed to bring together the cybersecurity community throughout the region while fostering international cooperation. It emphasized the role of national Computer Incident Response Teams (CIRTs), Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs), and Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs), in building cyber resilience and protecting critical information infrastructure.
There was no fee for participation in the event; however, all expenses related to travel, accommodation, and insurance of participants had to be covered by their administration. Participants who required an entry visa had to apply to the Moroccan Consular office at their place of permanent residence.
