International Telecommunication Union and the State Radio Monitoring Centre (SRMC), MIIT, China as part of the priority programme on Spectrum Management and under the auspices of the ITU Centres of Excellence for Asia-Pacific region are organizing a training program on "Spectrum Management and Monitoring" in Chengdu-Sichuan Province, China from 16 to 22 May 2016.
This training is designed to address mid to senior-level management from policy makers, regulators, corporate executives and managers responsible for Spectrum Management and Monitoring and covers both theoretical and practical issues.
The training aims to provide an empowering learning environment
through a combination of lectures, practical monitoring exercise (Fox Hunting) and visits to the manufacturers and
operators in order to share information with the participants in-line
with following objectives :

Understand the process and approaches to national spectrum management and monitoring issues. viz a viz the international developments and the outputs of WRC-15 and RA-15
-
Identify, evaluate and select the appropriate technologies to establish and operate national spectrum monitoring network.

Understand the appropriate principles and policies of an effective management of radio transmission equipment.

Understand the procedures of spectrum monitoring activities in special cases.
Note:

Number of Participants: As the course envisages
active contribution of participants and includes planned site visits to
operational terrestrial and space Radio Frequency monitoring facilities,
therefore the total
number of participants from outside china has been limited to 30.

Course Fees and Language: The course would be conducted in English and is offered free of charge.

Logistics: The travel arrangements, accommodation
etc. should be made and borne by the participating administration or
participants directly.

participants requiring an entry visa to China are requested to contact
their local Embassy of People’s Republic of China for information well
in advance. Please refer to practical information for further details.
