ITU Regional Workshop for the Asia-Pacific region on “Lifecycle and Development of National Cybersecurity Strategies”

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU),  together with Oceania Cyber Security Centre (OCSC) organized the ITU Regional Workshop for the Asia Pacific region on “Lifecycle and Development of National Cybersecurity Strategies”, on 20 February 2020,  in conjunction with the Global Cybersecurity Capacity Building Conference​ on 18 February 2020, in Melbourne, Australia,

The workshop aimed to assist countries in creating an effective national cybersecurity framework to support their socio-economic development and provide ways to improve national cybersecurity posture, following the Guide to Developing a National Cybersecurity Strategy. The guide is a comprehensive resource developed through a multi-stakeholder effort involving 12 partners from the public and private sectors: intergovernmental and international organizations, private sector, academia and civil society​​. 

This workshop designed to address mid to senior level management from policy makers, regulators, corporate executives and managers undertaking cybersecurity responsibilities in their respective organizations and especially cybersecurity officials in charge of drafting ICT national policies and strategies (including from the legislative perspective) as well as the representative of the entities in charge of implementation of such policies, legal frameworks and regulations.
