Broadband technologies are fundamentally changing our lifestyle. Broadband infrastructure, applications and services propose important opportunities for boosting economic growth, improving connectivity, improving energy efficiency, protecting the planet, and improving the quality of life.

Broadband has had a significant impact on the global economy. Under these conditions, the rapid growth in demand for new infocommunication services, as well as the increase in the volume of information exchange, are pushing telecommunication operators to the need for regular modernization of their networks.

However, network upgrades need to balance the economic and technical characteristics that will allow a long-term upgrade decision to be made and form the basis for further detailed network design and construction.

The development of such a feasibility study is often time-consuming and costly. Therefore, network developers around the world are trying to automate these processes by creating various methods and tools that can be used as an expert system in the field of mapping broadband infrastructure and identifying the most promising connectivity options.
