Cybersecurity in Romania

sibiu.jpgInternational Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the Swiss Webacademy in Romania and CERT-RO, supported the Central European Cybersecurity public-private dialogue platform events  held on 23-26 September 2015 in Sibiu, Romania.

The main goal of the events was to create an open dialogue between Romania, other countries from central Europe, and industry players, in order to improve information sharing and cooperation in the field of cybersecurity. Security professionals and policy and decision makers from Romania's neighboring countries participated in the sessions promoting constructive dialogue between states, IT security actors and consumers.

These annual events aimed to be a vital and interactive dialogue platform between decision-makers and IT specialists. The challenge was to create, through specific workshops, a prolific and useful debate, allowing every participant to gather as much information and networking as possible, either for a complete understanding of the principles of the newest security problems and how to face them, or for specialists to see how cases are treated in different countries and how the best approaches of those presented could be useful for their own company or institution.
