Ian Goodfellow is a staff research scientist at Google Brain, where he leads a research group focused on adversarial machine learning. He is the lead author of the textbook on deep learning (www.deeplearningbook.org). He is an expert on many forms of machine learning, but is particularly knowledgeable about security for machine learning, using machine learning to generate images, and learning from small amounts of labeled data but large amounts of unlabeled data.
