Roundtable discussion: Connecting Cities and Communities
This panel discussion will help facilitate the framing of planning activities to boost the urban economy, foster socio-economic cohesion, improve stakeholder involvement and promote environmental sustainability in smart sustainable cities.
Expected outcome: This panel discussion will provide inputs on urban planning, citizen participation and smart growth which can be incorporated into the zero draft of the New Urban Agenda. |

Roundtable discussion: Setting the Framework
This panel discussion will highlight the regulatory, policy and technological constraints, key performance indicators for smart sustainable cities and benefits of smart city models and other standardization activities which can impact the smartness and sustainability of cities.
Expected outcome: This panel discussion will provide inputs on the importance of policy regulation frameworks, standards development and design review processes which can be incorporated into the zero draft of the New Urban Agenda. |

Roundtable discussion: Enhancing Smart Governance
This panel discussion will emphasize on the importance of introducing ICT-based urban services to provide residents with safe, affordable, adequate, healthy and economically secure urban environments. Additionally, this panel discussion will also promote the use of ICTs for developing effective e-governance systems and promoting participatory governance.
Expected outcome: This panel discussion will provide inputs on the smart economy aspects, importance of smart living, the concept of smart people and the benefits of development incentives which can be incorporated into the zero draft of the New Urban Agenda. |
