Mike Wood is a Distinguished Professional with Telstra and the General Manager for Telstra’s EME Management, Education and Compliance program, and is responsible for EME issues, communications & strategy.
Mike trained with the Australian Defence Department in radio & microwave communications prior to graduating from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1985. Mike was part of the Telstra EME Research & Development team for over 10 years before taking on the national EME management role.
Mike has 30 years experience in the strategy and management of mobile network deployment, Electromagnetic Energy (EME) and community consultation for the wireless industry.
Mike is Vice Chair of ITU-T SG5 Working Party 2 and Chairman of the IEC TC106. In Australia Mike is chairman of the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association RF Safety Compliance Program, and Health & Safety Committee.
