Jörn Erbguth

Legal Tech, Blockchain, Smart Contract and Data Protection Consultant

Jörn Erbguth is a consultant on blockchain and data protection (GDPR). With majors in computer science and law, he takes a multidisciplinary approach to new technology. He is an enabler of privacy by design where legal and technological aspects need to be tightly integrated. Jörn previously worked as a software developer, a product manager and was head of ICT and CTO for legal information systems in Germany and Switzerland. He has been invited to the European Commission, the German Bundestag and the Parliament of Sachsen to discuss Blockchain, data protection and information security. Jörn publishes about technology and law and lectures at the Geneva School of Diplomacy, the University of Lucerne and the University of St. Gallen. He is active in Blockchain standardization at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and was a member of DIN SPEC 4997 Privacy by Blockchain Design. He works with Geneva Macro Labs as Head of Technology Insights. Jörn also serves as a board member for the German EDV-Gerichtstag (German Association for Computing in the Judiciary) and the Swiss entscheidsuche.ch association. The latter engages in making Swiss court cases easily and freely available to the public.

Nina-Luisa Siedler

Nina-Luisa Siedler is partner at DWF, a technology-oriented global law firm, and head of the international Blockchain Competence Group. She focusses on the legal implication of blockchain/distributed ledger technology projects and assists her clients with the structuring of business cases with view to legal and regulatory compliance. Nina-Luisa Siedler is active member of several associations and initiatives (Blockchain Bundesverband, ITSA, EU Blockchain Observatory & Forum Expert Group, UNIDROIT Working Group on Digital Assets) and member of the board of directors of thinkBLOCKtank. She had also been on the board of directors of IPDB and INATBA.

Javier Wenceslao
Professor of Commercial Law, Faculty of Law, Comillas Pontifical University

Javier Wenceslao is a full Professor of Commercial Law (Comillas Pontifical University, Faculty of Law, ICADE) and the head of the FinTech Law Observatory (Comillas) since 2016. He has been the director of the Garrigues Chair for the Modernisation of Company Law since 2013, Co-Founder of the Spanish Microfinance Association since 2012, Consorcio Red Alastria Co-Founder since 2017, Board Member and CITT Sponsor. He is also an author of 21 law monographs and more than 200 research papers in 4 languages. Since 2020, Wenceslao becomes the president of the Academic Board of Alastria Legal. He was former Vice-President of Basel II Committee at José de la Vega-DIEM Foundation and former CNMV Attorney for Olivencia Code on Governance of Listed Companies.

Mamiko Yokoi-Arai
Deputy Head of Financial Markets Division, Head of Infrastructure and Alternative Finacning Unit, Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

Mamiko Yokoi-Arai leads the work of the OECD on financial market policy issues, and is responsible for developing policy in relation to infrastructure and alternative financing, as well as leading the work on blockchain and digitalisation in finance. The OECD is advancing the development of a high-level recommendation on DLT, in parallel with the bringing together of relevant stakeholders in the form of its annual OECD Blockchain Policy Forum, which will take place in September 2021 over the course of the month. She has extensive experience and publications in regulatory and policy issues in the financial sector. Dr Yokoi-Arai previously worked at the Bank of Japan and the Japanese Financial Services Agency. She was a Reader in International Finance Law at Queen Mary, University of London for several years, teaching financial regulation and emerging market issues at the LLM programme. She has a PhD in Law from the University of London, and a MA and BA from the University of Tsukuba.
