"Girls in ICT" International Day was celebrated in Kyrgyzstan for the first time.  The main goal of this event was to recruit girls and young women in ICT sector. 

The  mission  of the event  was  to  organize  excursions, presentations  and  lectures on ICT, show its specifics and prospects for girls and young women. It allowed to demonstrate what is ICT and evaluate its opportunities
for future career.

Mr. Brahima Sanou, Director of ITU BDT visited Kyrgyzstan in the occasion of this Day. Also event was attended by  representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications , State Communication Agency, Ministry of Education and Science, Mr. Orozobek Kaiykov, Head of ITU Area Office for CIS countries, Association of Communication Operators ,  representatives of leading telecom companies and schools
