The confluence of Cyberlaw, Cybercrime and Cybersecurity is bringing forward various sensitive challenges for countries across the world. Challenges become even more complicated in Asia, where not only the biggest e-commerce markets exist, but also where mobile web is continuing to grow at a very rapid pace.
The proposed session will look at cyber legal, policy and regulatory issues impacting cybercrime and cybersecurity in Asia and in India.
Various speakers from different stakeholders will be present to analyse emerging challenges in the confluence of Cyberlaw, Cybercrime and Cybersecurity; more so given the advent of mobile web, in Asia and India. The session will concentrate on identifying existing challenges, and the current levels of readiness of countries - such as India and other countries in Asia – to deal with those challenges related to Cyberlaw, Cybercrime and Cybersecurity. Furthermore, the session will describe future focal areas/points which need to be emphasized by stakeholders, both state and non-state, in order to deal with complicated issues pertaining to Cyberlaw, Cybercrime and Cybersecurity. This session will also identify some of the practical nuances that Asian and Indian perspectives bring to the table, which are completely different from those occurring in Europe and in America. This session will also analyse the role of all stakeholders in identifying, creating and effectively implementing legal, policy and regulatory frameworks concerning Cybercrime and Cybersecurity.
