ETRI submitted the patent declaration for Recommendation ITU-T Y.3112 "Framework for the support of Multiple Network Slicing". It was duly registered in the ITU-T Patents declaration database.

Q21/13 sessions were kindly convened by Mr Yoshinori Goto (Japan) as Acting rapporteur in absence of the co-rapporteurs in charge.

Mr Guo Ren (China Mobile) served as Acting Rapporteur for Q23/13 sessions from 11 to 18 April.

The work of both Acting rapporteurs were appreciated by the WP1/13 co-chairmen.

It was said in the WP1/13 meeting that the efforts were made by the management teams of WP1/13 "IMT-2020 Networks & Systems" and WP2/2 "Telecommunication management and network and service operations" towards establishment at the next SG2 and SG13 meetings of the join correspondence group to foster the studies on IMT-2020 network management. A dedicated mailing list has been created and every interested participant is invited to subscribe (more details along with proposed Terms of Reference and leadership are found here).

Framework of Trust-based Media Services

ETRI submitted the patent declarations for Recommendations ITU-T Y.2072 "Framework of Energy Sharing and Trading Platform" and Y.3054 "Framework of Trust-based Media Services". Both were duly registered in the ITU-T Patents declaration database.

With initiation of the new work item draft Recommendation Y.STR "Socio-technical recommendations for contributing to socio-economic awareness" in Q16/13, it was agreed to discontinue the development of work item Supplement Y.STS-reqts "Development of socio-technical standards and their requirements" in Q5/13.

In addition to Y.STR, 9 more new work items were agreed for being developed by the Questions of different Working Parties. Full list may be seen here.

AAP Last Call will start on 1 May 2018 for each of the consented Recommendations mentioned above.

The next meeting of the Ad-hoc group on Guidelines for development of technical Recommendations took place at the co-located rapporteur groups meetings in Geneva in April 2018. Notes of those two session meeting are available as TD58 at TDs repository and draft output document may in found in TD 37R1.

A second SG13 technical tutorial (on Network 5.0) took place on 16 April 2018. Presented material is kept in TD 223 (GEN/13).

WP1/13 and WP3/13 management teams took advantage of co-located rapporteur group meetings to convene an extended management team meeting. One of the subjects was a way of convening energy efficiency studies in SG13 and collaboration with SG5. Furthermore, a SG13 session on energy efficiency took place on 12 April with the results reported in TD 225 (GEN/13). Discussions will continue at the next SG13 meeting.

Next meeting of SG 13 will take place from 16 to 27 July 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. As agreed at the November 2017 SG13 meeting, the opening plenary will be convened on the first day of the meeting, 16 July 2018. In addition, a short interim plenary session will take place in the morning (9:30 – 11:00) of 23 July 2018. SG13 closing plenary will be held as custom on the last day of the meeting, 27 July 2018.
