Iran National Activities towards the Information Society

This workshop will provide a brief summary of the performances, experiences and accomplishments of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the Information Society.
The national achievements and activities regarding the WSIS Action Lines will be reported by panelists from government, private sector, and academia.

Panelists will update the past reported projects, as well as introducing the new ones. In this regard, they will discuss main achievements and challenges they faced during the implementation of the projects in national level. By these presentations, participants will find a general view regarding deployed e-services in Iran and utilizing the information and communication technologies ( ICTs) in different areas such as education, research, finance and agriculture.
