Standardization for the comprehensive security solutions is vital for establishing a secure ITS (intelligent transport system) environment. ITU-T SG17 is carrying out standardization activities focusing on cybersecurity of ITS in general, including development of a set of standards related to connected vehicles and autonomous driving. This session is to present a set of standards that have been developed and are under development in Q13/17 and to discuss further views on cybersecurity in future automotive environments.

Ms. Yi Zhang
Ms. Yi Zhang Director of Standardization Department 360 Group, China

Yi is the director of Standardization Department of 360 since 2017.  She has more than 20 years’ work experience in network security, smart city, Video on Demand and wireless telecommunications.  She is associated rapporteur of ITU-T SG17 Q13.  She has two mater degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from China and Canada respectively.


Koji Nakao
Koji Nakao Distinguished Researcher, NICT and Guest Professor, Yokohama National University, Japan Moderator

Koji Nakao received the B.E. degree of Mathematics from Waseda University in Japan in 1979. Since then, Koji has been engaged in the research on information security technology for telecommunications including IoT security and 5G security. His present positions are "Distinguished Researcher" in NICT and “Guest Professor” of Yokohama National University on cyber security research. Koji has also been an Advisor of Cybersecurity for CABINET SECRETARIAT in Japanese government since April 2017.


Dr. Sang-Woo Lee
Sang-Woo Lee Principal Researcher Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Korea (Rep. of)

Sang-Woo Lee is a Principal Researcher at Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) in South Korea (Jan. 2001 – Present). His research interest is in the domain of cyber security system based on cryptography, hardware architectures for cryptographic algorithms, and ITS security. He is currently Rapporteur of Q13, security aspects on ITS, in SG17(2017 – Present).


Minrui Yan
Minrui Yan Head, Sky-Go Car Security Team 360 Group, China

Yan Minrui is the head of Sky-Go Car Security Team at 360 Group in China. He has 13 years of experience in the cybersecurity area, especially focus on Car, IoT, Network, Penetration Testing, and he has published research outcomes in many international conferences, such as Black Hat, CanSecWest, CodeBlue, etc.


Aram Cho
Aram Cho Senior Engineer Hyundai Motor Company, Korea (Rep. of)

Aram Cho is a senior engineer at Hyundai Motor Company R&D Center in South Korea (Mar. 2015 - Present).

He has been researching in in-vehicle cyber security since 2011. After he joined Hyundai Motor Company, he worked for developing in-vehicle cyber security architecture & solution, adopting it into mass-production vehicle.
