The WSIS (World Summit on the Information Society) Forum 2023 hybrid week took place from 13 to 17 March 2023 and the Forum continued with virtual workshops held in April-May. The theme of the WSIS Forum 2023 is ''WSIS Action Lines for Building Back Better and Accelerating the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)''. The annual WSIS Forum provides an opportunity for information exchange, knowledge creation and sharing of best practices, while identifying emerging trends and fostering partnerships, taking into account the evolving information and knowledge societies.

The WSIS Forum closing ceremony will serve as the finale of the weeks-long event, bringing together stakeholders to highlight the significant outcomes, initiatives, and commitments made during the Forum. This concluding session will emphasize the imperative of continued collaboration and partnerships among different stakeholders. It will mark the end of the WSIS Forum 2023, celebrating the momentum generated throughout the Forum and reinforcing the commitment to leveraging ICTs for the information and knowledge societies.
