FerMUN 2015 : The MDGs & The World We Want Post-2015

​​​The 2015 FerMUN Model UN conference took place at ITU headquarters in Geneva from 12 - 14 January 2015.

Model UN is a global UN programme for senior high school students that gives young people the chance to organize and participate in a simulated UN conference. Students choose a theme, research the topic, elect senior conference officials from among their number, organize their 3-day work programme, and agree on key resolutions.

The event was hosted under by the Ferney Lycée International. FerMUN students have chosen as their topic for 2015 'The World We Want', focused on a review of the MDGs and the future sustainable development agenda. The conference welcomed over 600 students from 13 countries including schools from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the US. FerMUN conferences are completely bilingual English/French, with students themselves handling the interpretation. 

ITU management and other high-level participants welcomed students at the official opening session at the Palais des Nations on January 12th.
