Summary:
|
Currently, there are many types of decentralized services, including blockchain-based services, DLT-based services (DLT, distributed ledger technology) and others. Typically, those decentralized services provide their proprietary SDKs (software development kits). IoT applications use those proprietary SDKs to interact with the corresponded decentralized services.
This draft Recommendation introduces and specifies service exposure for decentralized services (DSE) as one of the base supporting functions for IoT applications. DSE is a functional entity for IoT applications in IoT device, which integrates multiple decentralized services and exposes uniform interfaces to IoT applications. Those integrated decentralized services may support same or different types of decentralization solutions. IoT applications can use the uniform interfaces to integrate and access to multiple decentralized services at same time, regardless of their decentralization solutions. DSE can take efficiencies and benefits to application providers and users.
