Summary: This Recommendation specifies the functional architecture of interactive low-latency multimedia transmission system (ILMTS). It identifies the key functions and functional blocks, the relate Reference Points among those functions and the example procedural flows of the key service procedure. This Recommendation also introduces the key technical solutions of an overlay media delivery network which is dedicated to the ILMTS. With this Recommendation, the service providers who provide the interactive live content delivery service with the requirement of low-latency transmission are able to build a standardized real-time multimedia service system by taking advantage of the functional architecture from this Recommendation. In addition, those service providers can build a real-time content delivery system differentiated from the conventional content delivery system with more efficient bi-direction media transmission.
