Summary: With the development of emerging multimedia industries such as streaming media, short videos, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, data management in the multimedia industry faces significant challenges, including the rapid growth of metadata, diverse data formats, and real-time content changes. Traditional metadata management methods have struggled to address the issues posed by the massive, heterogeneous, and continuously dynamic metadata environment, unable to meet the data management demands of the multimedia industry. AI-enabled metadata management services leverage AI technologies to conduct real-time monitoring, dynamic collection , integration, and analysis of multimedia metadata to enhance the comprehensive management and application capabilities of complex multi-source data assets for multimedia applications. It optimizes data resource utilization, supports precise decision-making, enhances user experience, effectively managing, and unlocking the value of vast amounts of information within and outside the enterprise. This draft recommendation establishes a reference framework for AI-enabled metadata management services for multimedia applications, covering four key modules: metadata discovery and collection , registration and storage, analysis and delivery, and quality assessment and improvement. It defines the basic requirements and outlines the necessary AI-enabled metadata management services for each module.
