This Supplement “Overview on Adaptation to Climate Change for ICT Network” provides an updated overview of existing Recommendations and Technical Standards on the topic of Adaptation to Climate Change for ICT networks.
In this context, adaptation has to be intended in a double meaning:
how ICT can help other areas (e.g. transports, buildings, …) to adapt to climate change challenges and effects;
how ICT networks themselves have to be designed/implemented in a more and more resilient way, in order to face climate change’s effects (e.g. flooding, stronger winds, …).
This Supplement takes into account also the work already done, on the topic of Adaptation to Climate Change for ICT networks, from other Workshops and Accademia.
