The organizer will first explain the 2030 Agenda's description of evaluation and monitoring of the SDGs by national and subnational governments. As a next step, the method of ground truth is presented as possible approach to organise monitoring based on the 2030 Agenda's principles which are transparency, inclusiveness and participation. Panels will subsequently present their views as to how monitoring could be organised using ground truth methods such as wikipedia or other ICT based interactive methods. Questions from the floor will be encouraged to broaden and deepen the discussion at the same time. As a second step, a case example of a LDC will be given (2 page summary), panelists will break up and position themselves as representative of a Major Group (e.g. women, youth, farmers, business etc) and audience will be invited to join any of them to discuss how the group truth method should be organised to reflect their MG's interests. In closing, the moderator will summarize the main points and solutions proposed.
