Session 249

16:30–18:15, Thursday, 11 April 2019 Room C1, ITU Tower Thematic Workshop

The international community has always paid great attention to the information rights of people with disabilities. Many countries have made certain progress in eliminating the digital divide and promoting the construction of information barrier-free environment. In recent years, the  Internet Society of China has actively cooperated with relevant research institutions and social enterprises to jointly carry out research and practice on artificial intelligence barrier-free technology. The China Information Accessibility Service System has been completed and integrated into the information and structure of the website. A variety of artificial intelligence technologies, such as understanding, picture recognition, and human-machine voice interaction, have achieved gratifying results, which have attracted the attention of international organizations such as the United Nations and ITU. I hope that through this workshop we will exchange information and accessibility development results and look forward to the future development.
