Session 325

13:15–13:45, Thursday, 11 April 2019 Popov Room 2, ITU Tower Thematic Workshop

Tech small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are critical to ICT industry growth, job creation and socio-economic development throughout the world. Accessing new regional and international markets is one of the main challenges faced by tech SMEs and scale-ups looking to expand their business and impact. As a key part of its influential global platform of public and private sector ICT leaders, ITU Telecom World works to foster and support SME growth through its SME Programme of capacity-building workshops, pitching sessions, targeted networking, debates and mentorship, partnership and investment opportunities.

If you are working to support and promote tech SMEs and scale-ups – or if you’re a tech SME interested in scaling your business and increasing your international exposure – then join us at this briefing session on Thursday 11 April to learn more about the SME Programme at ITU Telecom World 2019, taking place in Budapest, Hungary, from 9 to 12 September 2019. The session will showcase different options for public sector agencies, private sector players and academia to bring a selection of their “export-ready” tech SMEs to the event, as well as providing an introduction to the ITU Telecom World Awards Programme.

It will be followed by an information session at the  ITU Telecom World 2019 stand, where the SME Programme team will be available to answer your questions.
