Daria is recognized as an industry expert in the area of natural and organic products as well as in sustainability and corporate responsibility. She is co- founder of Origins Natural Resources, considered the most disruptive and innovative beauty brand of the 1990’s, setting precedents that changed the beauty industry. Origins was a pioneer in the concepts of inner/outer wellness, natural essential oils, sustainable packaging and environmentally sound principles, and remains a brand that is globally relevant and robust today. It was also the first true omni channel beauty brand with distribution across department stores, retail stores, infomercial, spas, online, and pharmacies.
As Origins brand President, she grew Origins distribution to 150+ free-standing retail stores globally, and re-engineered the brand for pharmacy distribution in Europe. She oversaw all product development, creative, marketing and communications efforts.
In her last role at the Estee Lauder Companies, she established the first ever internal venture division, with a mission to identify up and coming indie beauty brands, recommending strategic acquisitions. Once acquired, her team helped to grow the companies to scale to enable integration into the larger corporation. In this role, she worked on all aspects of due diligence pre-acquisition, and then worked closely with founders as global advisor, with special emphasis on marketing, creative, product development and regulatory.
Daria has been a keynote speaker at global summits, including Intercosmetics in Paris, Centifolia Congresse in Grasse, the Organic Summit in Boulder, the Natural Beauty Summit in New York and the Wharton Women’s Leadership Forum in Philadelphia.
