Dr. Ansgar Koene is Global AI Ethics and Regulatory Leader at EY (Ernst & Young) where he leads the AI related public policy team and contributes to the work on AI governance and EY’s Trusted AI framework. As part of this work, he represents EY at the OECD Working Party on AI Governance and the Business at OECD Committee on Digital Economic Policy (BIAC CDEP).

Ansgar chaired the IEEE P7003 Standard for Algorithmic Bias Considerations working group and is a co-convener for the European standards body (CEN-CENELEC JTC21) “AI” committee’s work on AI conformity assessment. He is a trustee for the 5Rights foundation for the Rights of Young People Online, advises on AI and Data Ethics for the pan-African NGO AfroLeadership, and is part of the SteerCo of the International Observatory on Information Democracy and the EU-funded research project on Fairness and Intersectional Non-Discrimination in Human Recommendation (FINDHR).

Ansgar has a multi-disciplinary research background, having worked and published on topics ranging from Policy and Governance of Algorithmic Systems (AI), data-privacy, AI Ethics, AI Standards, bio-inspired Robotics, AI and Computational Neuroscience to experimental Human Behaviour/Perception studies. He holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience.

As a specialist in technology policy and regulation, Hadassah advises organizations on compliance, fosters policy awareness and understanding, and guides responsible tech development.

She serves as the Director of Policy & Delivery at the Responsible AI Institute, where she guides the development of responsible AI practice by providing organizations with the necessary tools to advance their responsible innovation journey.

As the Founder and Executive Director of The Law of Tech, she bridges the divide between the legal, policy, and tech sectors through effective communication and collaboration.

Moreover, her research at the intersection of healthcare innovation and regulation, supported by EU-funded projects and publications, demonstrates her commitment to responsible and inclusive innovation.

Hadassah’s goal is to establish a shared language among stakeholders to drive innovation
aligned with public interests.

Andrea Tognoni is Head of European Affairs at 5Rights Foundation, focusing on advancing children’s rights in EU digital policies and the online environment. Formerly leading the government affairs team at a global public affairs consultancy in Brussels, he has worked for the EU Delegation to the UN and other international organisations in Geneva and with international NGOs on human rights issues. Qualified lawyer, he holds an LL.M in Public International Law from Leiden University, where he researched the impact of civil society and social movements on global law and governance.

Karen McCabe is a Senior Director of Public Affairs and Marketing at the IEEE Standards Association, where she works at the intersection of technology, policy and standards. She leads efforts to build and connect communities working in the technology policy ecosystem and where her focus is on the development and promotion of collaborative strategies that produce impactful outcomes to help advance technology for the benefit of society.  Karen is engaged in technology policy initiatives in ethics and technology, sustainability, digital inclusion, digital economy and global standards in trade and policy.
