17 May 2001 - World Telecommunication Day The Internet: challenges, opportunities and prospects

World Telecommunication Day is a world event celebrated nationally. It is generally organized by the national Telecommunication Administration. To find out whom to contact, please look up our Global Directory and click on the name of your country. A number of contacts will appear, including the Administration.

ITU Sector Members, which represent over 655 public and private companies and organizations with an interest in telecommunications, have also been invited to join forces with the national Telecommunication administration of their country in celebrating World Telecommunication Day.
