Digital technology, ICT and mobile applications have significantly reduced the barrier to gain access to education, and present an unprecedented opportunity for people around​ the world and in remote areas – by bringing education to them. Today, two-thirds of the global population have access to a mobile connection; a large scale implementation of Smart Learning solutions will contribute to ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all – and bring impact to SDG 4.
