The WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event will serve as a platform to review the progress, achievements, challenges, and opportunities of the WSIS follow-up process since the two phases of the Summit. The event will take place from 27-31 May 2024 in Geneva. The Open Consultation Process is an open and inclusive consultation with WSIS stakeholders to prepare for the event, including developing the event programme, identifying gaps in the implementation of the Geneva Plan of Action and the WSIS Action Lines, and contributing to the WSIS+20 review process.

WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event OCP

The CSTD secretariat has rolled out a questionnaire in partnership with ITU, UNESCO and UNDP. WSIS stakeholders are invited and encouraged to share their experience, views and priorities, addressing the issues they consider most important for the CSTD's twenty-year WSIS review. The survey results will be incorporated into the first draft report of the CSTD secretariat, which will serve as inputs to the WSIS+20 discussion that will be held on 17th April in 2024 during the 27th CSTD (from 15 to 19 April 2024).

CSTD Questionnaire

WSIS Forum 2023 so far has attracted over 2700 participants attending both onsite and remotely. The forum comprised over 250 sessions, and it attracted participants from over 150 countries worldwide. The high-level track had a significant presence of 46 Ministers, 50 Ambassadors, and 15 Mayors from various countries around the world. The event also recognized outstanding contributions in the field of information and communication technology by awarding 18 WSIS Prizes 2023 Winners and 72 Champions.
