WE WORK WITH AND FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

The pulse of our program beats to the rhythm of youth involvement. They not only played a pivotal role in shaping the program's blueprint but are actively driving its execution, closely tracking progress, and actively contributing to its management. Our program thrives on the principles of participation, inclusion, and igniting the empowerment of the youth.

MEETING A BIG NEED BUT ALSO SEIZING A BIG OPPORTUNITY

Brimming with boundless ideas and untapped potential, the vibrant young minds of Africa hold the key to shaping the future. Yet, they encounter hurdles that hinder their journey: bridging the skill gap to meet the demands of the job market, securing opportunities for meaningful and decent employment, and gaining access to the nurturing embrace of entrepreneurial support.

In the heart of Africa's digital metamorphosis, a new horizon unfurls, teeming with opportunities for forging pathways to robust and enduring livelihoods for both young women and men.

A HOLISTIC AND COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH

We use a cycle of country-specific interventions, establishing partnerships and networks for impact and generating new evidence for data-driven action.

Country Interventions:
      • National Innovation Challenge for Decent Digital Jobs (Nigeria)
      • Market driven digital skills trainings (Kenya)
      • New digital skills for youth who are not in employment, education or training - NEET (South Africa)
Cutting-edge evidence:
      • Digital skills supply and demand assessments (Nigeria and South Africa)
      • Entrepreneurship support ecosystem assessments (Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal)
      • Needs and capacity assessments of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions (Kenya)
