The objective of the project is to enable more young people in Ivory Coast access decent job opportunities in the digital economy.We aim to build the capacity of institutions to design and implement implementation of policies and services for stimulate decent employment and improve the young people's digital skills. The project is aimed directly at young people from basic vocational training and technical education at secondary level, as well as women and people with disability status.
In Côte d’Ivoire, young people represent 35.5% of the total population. Informal work and unemployment pose major challenges to this segment of the population. Economic growth has not led to the creation decent jobs and the skills of young people often do not match available jobs.
The digital economy offers opportunities for creation jobs, economic growth and productivity. Côte d'Ivoire is among the pioneers in terms of digital transformation in West Africa. The area of ICT is booming and the digital economy of the country already regularly offers job offers
formalities in the labor market.
