Senegal

In Senegal, almost one-third (about 34%) of the total population consists of young individuals, with an average age of 19 years. This group faces significant challenges due to informal employment and high unemployment rates.

The Senegalese government recognizes the potential of the digital economy to promote inclusive growth. This vision is outlined in the Emerging Senegal Plan (PSE) and the Digital Senegal Strategy 2025 (SN2025). These strategic frameworks aim to harness the power of digital technology for both economic and social development.

Senegal stands out as a leading example on the continent when it comes to the internet's contribution to GDP. Notably, the country's e-commerce sector displays considerable vitality compared to its counterparts in other West African nations.
