13:30 - 14:30 | Policy session: How to build a truly inclusive digital society Digital inclusion involves ensuring that all people have an equal opportunity to become empowered through ICTs and be part of a digital society. ICTs can be accelerators and amplifiers of change, facilitating people’s inclusive access to information, simplifying the delivery of services, and enabling social and economic participation. However, ICTs are not always equally accessible to everyone, and some people have specific needs to access digital information, products, and services. This session will bring together policy makers to discuss the policies needed to reach an inclusive digital society, in particular how to support marginalized groups, and the role of data in setting and monitoring these policies.
