Session 1:Potential roles of 5G networks and IoT in the Arab Region


The session will focus on technical aspects and potential roles of 5G networks and IoT and their deployments in the Region in order to support digital economy. In addition, the session will discuss the emerging 5G technologies and spectrum implications as well as the potential of 5G networks and IoT in Arab region.

Session 4: Deployment Strategies in IoT for Smart Cities Implementation: Coverage and connectivity issues and challenges

This session is aiming to discuss the IoT related opportunities and challenges faced by policy makers and regulators during the adoption of the IoT ecosystem and for the implementation of the Smart Sustainable Cities. In addition, the session will explore key requirements from industry players to build successful smart and sustainable cities strategies including different types of IoT applications and services such as healthcare, home automation, disaster recovery, and industry automation. Moreover, the session will be showcasing IoT products and solutions that are changing the way the world communicates.

Session 6: How are IoT and Smart Cities Influencing Industry 4.0

The session aims to discuss the elements of Industry 4.0 such as big data, Internet of Things and smart factory have a positive role in promoting digital transformation including Smart Cities data and services that will change future production, logistics, and work processes. This means that the evolution of the IoT has gone beyond Internet-connected applications in recent years with the integration of different technologies such as machine learning, embedded systems, intelligent manufacturing, and wireless connection.
